Goals
For both projects, the goal was to contribute to the growth of the event by creating an innovative site, where audio, video, photos and texts are completely integrated in a unique multimedia experience. The idea was to create important visibility opportunities for the broadcaster, the artists, the sponsors and the official suppliers.
Target
All fans of the two contests, the television audience, journalists and opinion leaders.

Project
After winning an International competition, Digital Magics became the creator of the Internet sites for the events organised by the European Broadcasting Union: the Eurovision Song Contest, the long-standing European song festival, and the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, the competition for young artists. On 14th November 2006, the launch of the new site www.junioreurovision.tv was announced, designed for the growing Junior Eurovision Song Contest fan community and equipped with innovative multimedia tools: video clips, photographs of competitors, audio files and song lyrics available to users and the press. Apart from all this, there is general information regarding the young participants, national selections, the event and e-commerce services. For the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest, the new site www.eurovision.tv broadcast the contest live over the Web, offering entertainment and updates in real time. From the online area all users were able to follow the event first-hand or take centre stage themselves. By indicating their favourite artists, users were able to participate in “Be a Winner”, the first user-generated-content competition, launched by Eurovision TV, which allowed users to broadcast their own video karaoke, filmed with handycams, webcams and video-cell phones, on the website or on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/eurovision. Hence online community fans had the chance to feel like real international stars and receive votes from users around the world
